As a member of the new Thames View East community you will have a wealth of leisure options within easy reach. The O2 in Greenwich, one of London’s premier live music venues, is a few miles up-river. Stratford’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is even nearer – offering world class sporting events, music festivals and the chance to use Olympic facilities like the aquatic centre and velopark.

Barking and Dagenham has a range of leisure facilities. In Barking Town Centre you can visit Broadway Theatre and work out in the new Abbey Leisure Centre.

Transport connections

The new community of Thames View East is a short bus ride from Barking Town Centre using the new East London Transit bus route, which continues to Ilford Town Centre.

Thames View East has excellent road connections, with the A13 giving quick access to central London, Docklands (16 minutes) and east to the M25 (17 minutes).

By rail, Dagenham Dock station is less than a mile away. From here a train to London Fenchurch Street takes just 21 minutes. Barking Station is only 17 minutes from Fenchurch Street and is also connected to the District, Hammersmith and City and London Overground lines.

Retail

You will not be short of shopping opportunities at Thames View East. Lakeside Shopping Centre is about 20 minutes’ drive, as are the many shops and restaurants at Canary Wharf. Even closer is the Gallions Reach Shopping Park with its 65 major stores.

If traditional town centre shopping is more your thing, Barking Town Centre has a myriad of shops and a regular street market.
